Hearing on Feinstein Gun Grab Bill TODAY

John Boy

Recommended Posts

Here come the gun grabbers!

TODAY, the Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing on Senator Dianne
Feinstein's anti-gun bill...which would BAN millions of commonly owned
semi-automatic firearms and BAN ammunition magazines that hold more than ten
rounds.

YOUR SENATORS NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU RIGHT
NOW!!!

Please call both of your Senators today at (202) 224-3121 and tell them to
OPPOSE the Feinstein Gun Grab bill.

Tell your Senators that President Barack Obama's own Justice
Department recently reported that any ban on semi-automatic firearms WILL NOT
WORK...unless it includes mandatory gun buy backs, which is federal GUN
CONFISCATION!

Senator Feinstein herself told CBS's 60 Minutes that if she could get
the votes "for an outright ban, picking up every one of them -- Mr. and
Mrs. America turn 'em all in
" she would do it!!!

Please forward this email to everyone you know...tweet it...post it on Facebook...help
us spread the word as far as you can.

And please, help NRA-ILA win this fight with a much-needed contribution by
clicking here.
This is the fight of the century and we need every gun-owning patriot to be
involved.
Thank you for your leadership!

I was pleased with the response from Senator John Cornyn to my letter:
Dear Dr. Kaler:
Thank you for contacting me regarding federal firearms laws.
I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this matter.

As
a strong proponent of the Second Amendment, I believe it is essential
to safeguard the law-abiding citizen's constitutional right to own and
use firearms designed for legitimate purposes such as hunting, target
shooting, collecting, and self-protection.
Restricting this right runs counter to the intent of our Founding
Fathers, who expressly guaranteed that citizens would retain the right
to keep and bear arms.

It
is encouraging that the Supreme Court has upheld the will of our
Founders and re-affirmed the ideals our country was established upon.
The Supreme Court's decision in
District of Columbia v. Heller
provides a greater guarantee that Americans' Constitutional rights
remain secure from federal government intrusion.
I was proud to sign an amicus brief to the Supreme Court in that case
stating an individual’s right to bear arms is fundamental.
This historic ruling continues to have implications far beyond the
District of Columbia.
In 2010, the Supreme Court decided in
McDonald v. City of Chicago
to strike down the arbitrary gun ban in Chicago—and thereby affirm that
the Second Amendment safeguards against state and local encroachments
on the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

As
a former Texas Supreme Court Justice and Attorney General, I have
firsthand knowledge of crime-fighting policies that work, and I believe
that citizens' Second Amendment rights should not be restricted because
of the actions of criminals.
Rather, we must focus our attention on the source of violent crime:
criminals who use firearms to commit crimes.
I believe that strictly enforcing the law—and meting out tougher
sentences for career criminals and those who use firearms when
committing crimes—will reduce crime more effectively than gun or
equipment bans, which primarily serve to take firearms away from
law-abiding citizens.

I
appreciate the opportunity to represent Texans in the United States
Senate, and you may be certain that I will continue working with my
colleagues to protect our Second Amendment rights.
Thank you for taking the time to contact me.

Sincerely,

JOHN CORNYN

Somewhere in there she also stated that every law enforcement officer in the United States is against private citizens owning firearms. I guess she didn't talk to all the law enforcement personnel in my area or all the sheriffs in the state of Utah. Cause they are all back the second amendment.

All of the Sheriff's in the state of Florida are opposed to any action against the 2nd.

They trot out urban police chiefs who are appointed to their positions and owe their careers to politics. Sheriffs, who are accountable to their constituents who voted them, understand the views of citizens and are overwhelmingly against further gun control laws.

You'll not see a Sheriff invited by the Dems to speak in behalf of their gun grabbing agenda.
