Smoken D
Snowed in today so got to spend a little time in the shop. Been wanting to make a pair of grips for my 1911 and finally had some time to do it. For my first try just used some cedar I had left over from another project and it was already cut down to 1/2" in thickness. After the carving and cut out sanded it down ta fit and a little filing. A little oil finish and there she is. Dang came out nice enough and drilled the holes in the right spot gonna leave them on for now. Maybe in a few months will make another pair out of some exotic wood I have left over. Had it for ten years and the name starts with a "B" and has another 16 letters as I recall. Was a fun day to be snowed in. Those are my initials in the center. http--,,--//

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Very Nice! Although cedar is not very tough, it has some amazing colors. Just don't set the gun on fire.
