Subdeacon Joe
Have had 'em at Schula' s steakhouse. Good combo. GG One would think that the very strong flavor of the bacon would overpower the more delicate taste of the shrimp or prawn, but it somehow brings out even more of the "shrimpiness" and accents it. Funny how flavors work.

Funny how flavors work. That's the key to cooking, knowing what ingredients complement and which clash. Sometimes the pairing is counterintuitive, as in this case. And Hershey's kisses with potato chips.
Paladin Gun For Hire
I must try that. Bacon enhances most everything.
Forty Rod SASS 3935
That's almost as good as real scallops wrapped in bacon and grilled. I could eat those every day.
Eric Hoss Cartwright
drizzle some maple syrup on that. (don't use the fake stuff) When I was in Ecuador, I had some very good (and interesting) foods. One was they would take a nice crispy grilled cheese sandwich and pour maple syrup all over it. I had never tried "mixed foods" like that before, but I tried it and it was really good.
