Due to the inherent and necessary political nature and basis of this thread, we have to be somewhat firm in what goes on this forum as discussions of politics can quickly deteriorate into arguments…as we’ve seen in the Political Fire of old. As we’ve discussed in our Concept of the Operation and Rules of the Road, divisive arguments are counterproductive, we need Team SASS in reality as well as name.

Now I realize not everyone will agree with everything we do or say but my interest here is purely based on staying on target and keeping us focused on the big picture at all times. Were we to do otherwise, Team SASS would quickly lose its effectiveness to wage this battle to preserve, protect and defend in a unified way and unity is of paramount importance.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation…You all are doing a great service for this country and SASS. I salute and thank you all!

There will be disagreements, no matter what. We need to keep them focused on the message or the methods, not on the messenger. Discussions on the nuance of wording, I think are Good Things as they help us refine our thinking and message. The more precise we are, the better.

Likewise discussions on method - for example, would we be better off trying to organize a mass rally in DC or trying to get people to commit to writing to their legislators once a week regular as clockwork? Or do we try for both? Or find some middle ground? Or maybe go off in a totally different direction?

Don't take disagreements personally. Don't respond with personal attacks. Don't respond TO personal attacks.
