Maybe the Governors and Legislatures need to be reminded that their citizens

Have States rights along with Federal rights!

If the States go on the attack we should be using the State Constitutions AS WELL AS the US Constitution to fight back!

That's a damned old list.

California: Nothing.

However, the California Constitution provides for "inalienable rights" including "defending life and liberty ... and protecting property..." Article I, Section 1 reads:

All people are by nature free and independent and have inalienable rights. Among these are enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and pursuing and obtaining safety, happiness, and privacy.

Furthermore, once the Second Amendment is properly defined as an individual right (hopefully in theEmerson Case), then Article III, Section 1 of the California Constitution would apply the Second Amendment to the State Laws of California. Article III, Section 1 reads:

The State of California is an inseparable part of the United States of America, and the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land.

Emerson? When was that? About 2003? We've had Heller and McDonald since then.

Every time I go up to the Capitol in Concord to testify at a hearing on a gun related bill I remind them that they took an oath to uphold and defend the U.S. and NH constitutions. It's like I'm still teaching and reprimanding kids to obey the rules and follow directions! Who elected these a$$h _ _ _$?! They ought to be "recalled" if they are newly elected and/or impeached if they are incumbants but no one up there has the b@ll$ to do it because they all cover each others backs for fear of them being one of the ones who lose their job!

It's like the "foxes" are watching the "chicken coup"! "Gotta' get rid of them darn foxes', said the farma'. "They's stealin' my chickens"!

To those concerned about the "guest" post by yours truly, first, thanks for watching my back and giving me a heads up...but that really was me. I was reading stuff here on my break at work but hadn't logged in. I went to post the above and got the guest log in screen. Rather than risk the loss of my post by going to log in properly, I was lazy and used the screen that popped up.

Nice to know that we all cover each others backs.
