Just came down from Victorville area and there must have been a dozen police cars with lights and sirens northbound on the I-15. Might be headed for Big Bear Lake where C. Dorner is thought to be hiding. Reports have him (maybe) exchanging fire with cops up in that area. No one knows but there sure is a lot of time, effort, and wear and tear on equipment being expended it.

 

If I were him I'd have put everything in place first, shot my bolt, and headed for Salt Lake City or Omaha or Two Rivers, WI, or someplace equally unlikely and watched TV and laughed my butt off for a few months before coming back and striking again.

The press should be lined up along with the politicians. The 'reporters' are asking the most nescient questions. They are good for entertainment I guess.

The "3PM Press Briefing" officer just said that they've asked the news choppers not to show any live close-up footage of police deployments. Yeah, right. Like that's gonna happen...
