Come On Christmas
A couple of differ firms have checkered and various novelty grips for the 1858 Remington. I can not seem to find them for the ,36 1851. Where are they hiding? Shameless
PALADIN #562
The 51 navy takes the same grips as the SAA.

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
I have never seen a factory reproduction 51 Navy with two piece grips. Not that many gripmakers make one piece grips and the frames on the 51s vary a lot. The brass backstrap Piettas bear no resemblance to a 51/SAA grip. To install two piece grips people would have to drill a hole in the grip frame. I suspect the demand is very small so that is another reason you don't see a lot of custom grips for the 51s.
