McCandless
A while back there was a thread here about someone who lowers that hammer spurs on Remington "1858" hammers... I want to do This ! to a pair of .36 Remingtons and add .38 Konvertors. I think lowered hammer spurs would complete the look. Anybody know who that 'smith was?? Thanks! Bramble Mountain Buzzard
If you know how to disassemble your guns to remove the hammers, you can heat with an Ody-Acetylene torch and then tap them down with a hammer/maul to where you want them... Oliver Loving
I had my ruger old army lower by Choctaw Silver Wolf. He does a great job and I can now reach the hammer spur without haveing to tilt the revolver back to thumb the hammer. He shots with Slick McClade and the Jackson Hole Regulators in Quitman, La. Look on their web site for his info.
