Doc Cherokee, SASS#48332
Let's say, just for the sake of discussion, a situation came to exist in which one needed to store guns away for a long period of time..Not in one's home, but someplace like (again, just for the sake of discussion) buried underground in a safe place..What would be the best method of storage? I've heard of pvc pipe and cosmoline, but it seems that would sweat and rust the contents..

Cat Brules
They also make buriable "vaults" especially for this. Some have screwed ends with silicon o'ring seals and some have other means of sealing them. You can buy the bags of dessicant to toss inside to draw moisture out of the air. There must be whole dissertations regarding this stuff online. Just use a variety of search criteria in the search engines. Further, yes, Brownells does sell the protective storage bags previously mentioned. Cat
