Big Jake1001 Posted November 11, 2012 Share Posted November 11, 2012 I just got home from a Marine Corps Birthday Party here in Orange County SoCal. We had Marines, Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard. A Ceremony is held where a table with 5 place setting are and one at a time with the song of each branch of Service playing, a Hat was placed on a plate, glass turned upside down, and chair leaned forward. Then Taps is played in remembrance of those POW's and those MIA and KIA who couldn't be in attendance. Prime Rib, Chicken, or Vegetarian, meals were served. Raffle, 50/50 drawing and an auction. Nice to see a bunch of Leathernecks having a good time. Then the Cake cutting with the Oldest Marine (85) and the youngest Marine (25) getting the first piece of Cake. Semper Fi Marines.
