Wounded warrior

A friend of mine who is serving as a Special Forces nco in A-stan was severely wounded yesterday in an ied explosion while on dsmounted patrol. He had just returned to duty after being injured a few weeks ago when another ied destroyed the vehicle he was in. He has lost his left leg, a broken hip, and injuries to one arm. He has been evaced to Germany and will be coming stateside when he is able to make the trip. Some thoughts for him and his family couldn't hurt. First name is Jim. Top notch medic and soldier.

Crappy week so far.

Always good thoughts for wounded warriors...I just wish the guys coming home 40 years ago had the same good thoughts...It might have made it somewhat easier for them...I guess I still hold some bitterness from the time...

I'll add some thoughts and prayers tonight for Jim and his family. God Bless them for their selflessness and sacrifice. May their future road be blessed, as well.

:FlagAm: Prayers up for Jim for speedy treatment and a full and quick recovery.

Medics are the best. Should we ever meet, he won't be able to buy dinner or a drink. :FlagAm:
