Looking for information

For certain reasons I won't mention here I have been researching SASS clothing manufacturers for years. One company and their products remains a mystery to me. Some years back while at a swap meet a gent walked up to my table wearing Brasada (Sp?) brand clothing. I asked him about them as I had.......a certain interest in their line. He wasn't able to offer much info other than the tag on the clothes.

Does anyone here know about this company? are they still in business? do they have dealers where one might find their products?

I haven't even been about to turn up and dealers web pages or and company info. It's like they no longer exsist! Even then when I saw this gent he claimed the stuff he was wearing was new.....I still couldn't find hide nor hair of this company.

.....So.....I turn to my friends here......Do y'all know where I might find this company's info/website/products? Are they produced by some parent company? are they a mom and pop outfit?........

I see them here and there and they spark my interest only to end in latenight web searches that leave my head spinning.

Any info on the company that produces this line of clothing will be a great help......call it my last ditch effort!

Don't know if this is what you want or not, but it may give you a start.

Brasada

That doesn't look to be it, but I am going to mark that page as they look to have some good products.

The line in question is old west wear. I have been looking for them with no luck. Every so often someone on the classifieds has something made by them for sale, but I have yet to find there page or company.

Thanks for that link though. Interesting stuff!

About 8 years ago, I ordered 2 pairs of Brassada trowsers on a closeout deal. I think at the time they were discontinuing them. They were decent pants with high backs and a single hip pocket. They had a zippered fly and suspender buttons with NO belt loops. The side pockets were on-seam so these were not terribly authentic pants but a whole lot better than jeans. I still have them.

Yeah, it's Brassada, with TWO esses. They are still making something. Here's a link to them, on ebay. Selling drover coats.

I don't recall the name of the company I bought from, but I have a Brassada frock coat and two pair of pants. Both were sold as "close-outs", and this was late 2004/early 2005.

The first vest and trousers I bought were from Brassada. Heavy weight cotton canvas, the trousers had a button fly and suspender buttons. Prtty good quality. Looks like they mostly make outerwear now.

Cowboy Emporium used to carry Brassada back in the late 90's and early part of the present century. They were reasonably well made and priced. Unfortunately, I believe that Dorado Slim closed Cowboy Emporium several years ago. And I am told that both Slim and his wife Lilly Pond have passed on.

EE, you might try these sites to see what the Brassada cowboy clothes looked like. Unfortunately, not all the images still exist.

Based on the archived webpages, it appears that Cowboy Emporium stopped carrying clothes (including Brassada) in April of 2001.

That's sad news to hear, both about the brand and the folks that ran the Cowboy Emporium.

As many know my interests are much the same and I've made friends with other vendors over the years who's owners have passed on. Many of these folks had a passion for doing business the Cowboy way.......honest and straight forward.

......I hope in the coming years I can do my best to fill the boots of those who have gone on before us.

Thanks for the information.
