H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted September 19, 2012 Share Posted September 19, 2012 Okay, right up front, the post 64's are not as good as the pre-64's, I think we can all agree on that. But, I think that it is also fair to say that, when you simply look at them on their own, the post 64 model 94's, at least some of them, are not really such bad guns. I have a couple of 94's, one made in 1908 and a post 64 that the exact date of manufacture unknown. (Actually, it's a Sears Ted Williams Model 100, but it looks exactly like a Model 94.) Comparing the 2 rifles, yes, the pre-64 is a much nicer gun, but I really don't have any problems with the Sears gun. It's just not as bad as some people make them out to be. On the other hand, the post-83 guns are total junk. I wouldn't touch one of those with a ten foot pole. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
