Calico Mary Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I was in the sewing room for the last week and a half straight, now that the weather's cooled off enough to stay in there for more than a few minutes at a time. But today I'm sick as a dog, left work after an hour and haven't felt like doing much of anything today....

Finally buttoned up the article and pics for the CC and have the CD burned and ready to mail. Don't know why I had a mantal block to getting that done, just lazy I guess.

Guess I'm taking a vacation day! Got some stuff to take to the post office, then I think I'll see if I can get some reloading done.

Even Momma Badger didn't want to get out of bed and from under that nice warm feather comforter. Captain Jack didn't care though. That critter ain't got a lick of sense. Grizzly Dave Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Well, I loaded, well finished loading 350 rounds of 38s. Put powder and lead in 'em. Next up is a big batch of about 700. But it was hazy when it came out of the tumbler, so I thought maybe it was old media or too big a batch, so I replaced the media and ran it for an hour, still hazy. So, I pulled out half the brass and have it running again. The haze rubs right off, but I ain't hand rubbing every case. I'm not a freak about having really shiney brass, but the hazy ones get my hands dirtyer as I reload, with a single stage press and a hand primer, I have to handle each case 4 times. Well, been a half an hour, if it was gonna help, it should have done it by now. If it did, I'll pull that batch and put the other half batch in, if not, well, I guess I'll just start decap/resizeing them.

I hope I feel better by Saturday too, Buick called Gingles last night and he's supposed to stop by and pick us up Saturday morning, hope he ends up with two passengers and not just one!
