Subdeacon Joe
How about an early movie of branding? How did those cowboys work in white shirts and ties? LL Likely that is what they were used to, if it wasn't just getting spiffed up for the camera. But you see photos and films of ironworkers in white shirts and ties, too. The advantage of the white shirt - you can bleach the heck out of it to get stains out. Can't do that with colored fabrics.
Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
My folks always wore long sleeved white shirts for work or for church. Fact is I don't remember Dad wearing anything but white cotton or khaki work shirts.
