Gold Canyon Kid #43974 Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Just finished reading a wonderful book by Jess Ducky (Brian Howard). It is called a Kiss for Big Bill. What a great book about the Indian Wars period in our history. If you like Cowboys, Indians, Army Scouts, old guns, shooting, the post Civil War Army, horses, etc., you will love this book. I note that Amazon.com sells it and even has a Kindle version for $3.95. The book is all about a group of Indian Scouts from the 1870s and their adventures leading to the Nez Perce War in 1877. This book is a must read for all cowboy action shooters and especially mounted shooters as the scout's horses and mules play a large role in the book. Jess Ducky is well known to many of you as a champion cowboy shooter, most (like me) were not aware of his writing skills til now. The book has been out for a few months and I finally found it in the bottom of my books to read pile and had forgotten about it. What a treasure.
