Non CAS question..

Recommended Posts

I've been having a recurring problem with my concealed carry gun, a Colt Commander series 80..It has an adjustable trigger with a recessed allen screw and for the second time the allen screw has moved around enough to make the trigger hard if not impossible to pull..I have an allen wrench I keep taped to my guide rod wrench, it's a simple matter to readjust it when it happens..My concern is it happening when (God forbid) I might really need to have the pistolo to be in top working order..I'm wondering if it might not be a bad idea to put a dab of locktite on the allen screw to keep it in place? And which locktite would be the best? The blue stuff?

Yep, that will work and for a personal defense gun I would not set the trigger stop at absolute zero. I would allow for a reasonable amount of overtravel. My personal choice would to use a "Nylock" stop screw rather than Loctite. Your mileage may vary.
