stepnmud#33546
Have a home made tool,as in a flat blade screwdriver with the center notched out to slip inbetween the coils and simply press down on the spring till can catch the rod hole with a pin, but this new top lever spring is stiff can not having much luck with my home made tool. Might be able to rig up a better compression tool and like to hear "how to" idea's.
Rio Brazos Kid
You may be able to simply stick the pin thru a coil and rotate the spring, (using pliers), till it moves in front of the pin. This method works in many applications. RBK
