Capt. James H. Callahan
I know several of you are into air shows, air racing, etc. Thought you might know this fella. Didn't know him myself. Sad, but sounds like the way he would have wanted to go out. Dusty Balz, SASS#46599
Howard was one of the best, 11,000+ flight hours, Marine Pilot. He owned and flew a number of classic warbirds, notably his beloved Bearcat and a Hawker Sea Fury. I've watched Howard race at Reno for the past 25+ years and have spoken with him numerous times, a nice person and a fine gentleman. He will be missed, pilots with his expertise are getting scarce.
