I'm not there because I am expecting to retire this month. http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/ids-of-ohio-soldiers-killed-in-action-released-1355964.html I had known SFC Hannon for over fifteen years, when I was coming into 11th Special Forces for my brief stay and where he was a Rigger. I was in law school and he was getting ready to start so we had a lot to talk about. We bumped into each other again in the field artillery where he was serving as a FIST NCO. He later was shifted to the unit he was in when he deployed. Like me, he was a lawyer who chose to remain enlisted. I hadn't talked to him in several years, but know he was a good guy, in cowboy terms, one to ride the river with. I didn't know the other two, but I am confident that they were good soldiers and good people performing their mission to the best of their abilities. I will be keeping their families in my thoughts and meditations, and I kind of thought that some many people on here would want to offer up their prayers. For the first time... in long time... it brought a profound... and seriously unexpected sadness to my heart to hear it again. Sometimes, those feelings are not fleetin'... as I often feel 'em.
