Dusty Balz, SASS#46599
Possibly, the Air Force Academy has a case with goblets representing each Raider. General Doolittle had a bottle of Napoleon Cognac given to him by the French. I believe now it's damn near 170 years old. When a raider passes on, his goblet is turned upside down in the case. The Cognac is still unopened and will be cracked when the final two Raiders remain. The last two survivors will open the bottle and drink a toast to the departed Raiders. The case may have been moved to the USAF museaum in Dayton. Jimmy Doolittle is and has always been one of my heros, his Raiders also hold that accolade in my eyes. Amazing men from another era, we're all blessed to have had them in our history.

Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
The sad thing is we are losing more and more of our WWII vet and heros every day. Without them, we might not have the freedoms we have and enjoy today I recently read that this year was the last one for the Pearl Harbor vet reunion, sad but inevitable
