Monco
Howdy Pards! Does anyone know the thread size for three screws used to retain the early 1897 fore grip? Getting ready to place and order from brownells and thought I would toss the correct tap in the bag before clikin' go.

Monco
Thanks LG! I ran home over lunch break and measured 10-36 I believe. I don't imagine it could have been 32 TPI? My 32 TPI gauge was a tad off and the 36 TPI fit perfectly. Have a couple of 10-36 taps on order now from Travers for around $4 each...brownells wanted $25@ . Who knows how long it'll take to get them for that price so I suppose I'll end up welding my spare action slide tip and reshaping to fit the hook since it already has good threads......needed to do that anyway...only takes a few minutes.
