Just keep all my old tax files in one directory and when you fire up TurboTax it goes and fetches what it needs from the previous year's files......sure makes it a lot easier. I use the Federal and State versions and file both electronically. AND....I add the cost of the software and any fees required to file electronically as tax preparation expenses on my Schedule A with all the other itemized deductions.
