Come On Christmas
A certain 3 initial gun site has a fine price on an 1851 .36 caliber pistol. I have thought of this B4 and looked at a few mold manufacturers for the hollow base bullet they mention on the Kirst site. I did not find self said same mold. Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Unless you are already a caster, it's cheaper and easier just to buy readily available hollow base wadcutters.

Snakebite
It seems like years ago I had a Rapine bullet mold for a hollow base 38, but I can't seem to find it now. Snakebite
Earl Brasse, SASS #3562
Shameless, I haven't gotten into the hollow-base or heel-based for .38 Long Colt but ... I have cast/reloaded both for .41 Long Colt. If you are hand casting, Bernie at Old West Bullet Moulds is great to deal with. He has a couple of designs for hollow-based 38s' He makes a special crimp die to work with Heel-based bullets as well as making both types of molds. http://www.oldwestbulletmoulds.com/ Another interesting site for hollow based (or hollow-point for that matter)conversions of molds is: http://www.hollowpointmold.com/ Of course if you can manage to find a bullet caster that sells something that will work well, (for a reasonable price)post the info, there have to be a few conversion shooters out there.
