I've got the 'Stoeger' branded Uberti 1866 Yellowboy. I see that Cimarron offers their version with a saddle ring.

Has anyone added a saddle ring to their Yelowboy? The ring and mount are available for purchase...

I haven't added one to a gun that didn't have one, but I looked at how mine is attached on my '66 Saddle Ring Carbine, it doesn't look like it would be hard to add it. Just drill two holes. There is a nut that goes inside the receiver. Any good gunsmith could do it I guess.

yeah- two holes to locate the ring mount, and a nut behind it...the parts are about $30 delivered.

For a totally useless part.

Nay, I say nay...for each time I observe the circular splendor that dangles nixt my receiver and stock, I shall betaken of a euphoric sense unlike that of any ever known to man.

I've been to one range where a fella with a saddle ring had to lay the rifle down on the right side because it couldn't lay FLAT on the left side.
