Llama Ron Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I've got the 'Stoeger' branded Uberti 1866 Yellowboy. I see that Cimarron offers their version with a saddle ring. Has anyone added a saddle ring to their Yelowboy? The ring and mount are available for purchase...
Doc Fill 'Em 67797 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I haven't added one to a gun that didn't have one, but I looked at how mine is attached on my '66 Saddle Ring Carbine, it doesn't look like it would be hard to add it. Just drill two holes. There is a nut that goes inside the receiver. Any good gunsmith could do it I guess.
Llama Ron Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 yeah- two holes to locate the ring mount, and a nut behind it...the parts are about $30 delivered.
Seldom Seen #16162 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 yeah- two holes to locate the ring mount, and a nut behind it...the parts are about $30 delivered. For a totally useless part.
Llama Ron Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 For a totally useless part. Nay, I say nay...for each time I observe the circular splendor that dangles nixt my receiver and stock, I shall betaken of a euphoric sense unlike that of any ever known to man. priceless.

I've been to one range where a fella with a saddle ring had to lay the rifle down on the right side because it couldn't lay FLAT on the left side. Fillmore
royal barnes sass #5792 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 The Yellowboy I bought in '96 came with one. I LOVE IT!!!! It's somewhere in the landfill as I write this.
