SPF I recently purchased a 12 guage coach gun from Pioneer Gun Works. It is a hammerless double with a mechanical single trigger, preferred by everyone I know. Joe Alves at Pioneer gave it a complete action job, polished the chambers, raduised (beveled) the chambers, lightened the trigger, made it very easy to open - safety works but only manually. It wass made in Turkey and is essentially the same gun sold as a Charles Daly 306, but this is a coach gun with 20" barrels. It is in near perfect condition except for a couple of cart marks. I generally shoot a pump and have this as a back up. I don't shoot thst much any more, so selling the backups. Price will be $500 plus shipping to your FFL who accepts from an individual, well worth the price. You can buy a Stoeger and have it slicked uo for about the same money, but if you than see one of these, you'll kick yourself. One of the many distinct features of this gun is that it has a Greener type side bolt that causes the gun to lock up TIGHT! I'll have pics available tomorrow. Payment is US Postal money order or Paypal, though theres a three percent surcharge for Paypal. Slowpoke Joe

Joe--I am brand new to SASS and in the market for a shotgun. Would you recommend this gun to a beginner?

Absolutly! When I spoke to Joe Alves at Pioneer Gun Works, he said it was very strong and should last a lifetime. It has been slicked-up by him (auto safety turned to mechanical safety, opens easily, chambers polished to allow quick ejection of spent shells, chambers radiused to allow rapid insertion of shells. If you check the pictures, you'll see a side bar when the gun is opened. This is the same lock-up as the famed Greener shotgun. Asside from a couple cart marks on the forearm (see pictures) it is like new, around 50 shells through it. I just like the pump type gun better. You will not be sorry. If you're new and have decided to shoot 45 Colt caliber pistols and rifle, I have a great rifle listed as well. Welcome to SASS, you're gonna love it!

I'll take it...if he didn't.
