Mingo Frank
Kind of an odd gun but tons if fun. This was made in 1873 as a single shot, bolt action rifle and converted in 1888 to a 4 round box magazine rifle using the Italian Vetterli system . The round is considered a .43 Beaumont although it uses the same .457 bullet as a 45-70. The cartridge is a shortened, necked down 50-90 sharps case. Wood is good with visible cartouche on the butt. Couple repaired splits on the firearm. All metal smooth and a dull gray color. Bore is strong. I can send 40 rounds of loaded ammo, a pack of .457 bullets with the rifle. Fired rounds need only neck sizing and billets seated with a .45 Colt die set. Pics on request to your email. Priced at $450 shipped.
