Big Jake1001 Posted January 24, 2012 Share Posted January 24, 2012 neither Remington or Ruger has made a 1911 before so this is the first for both of them. I think both makers put out a fine gun but I will go with Ruger on this one as thier 1911 just seems to be made better. After that being said I trust my life with my Colt 1911 that I wear every day to work as a LEO. I have a few more Colts on my bucket list...not so many Rugers or Remingtons. What about the Remingtons made for WW1. These were made by Remingtons Arms Co, not Remington Rand... The typewriter Co. Those were made for WW11.
