Llama Ron Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 What would you consider a 'deal' on a new Uberti Yellowboy 1866?
John Barleycorn, SASS #76982 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I've seen new for $900 good deal on a nice used $800
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 They have gone up dramatically in price the past couple of years. There use to be quite a difference in price between a 73 and 66. Now the 66 costs almost as much as a 73. Go over to Gun Broker and Guns America and do a search. You will get a pretty good idea on price from there.
backshootin beauford mcgee Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I bought a 66 from Taylors at Guns of August. It was the 19 inch carbine in 44-40. The only 44-40 they could find in inventory then. After tax, shipping it was right at $900.00. I thought they treated me very well, nice folks to deal with also!
Willie Shootum Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 The lowest I have seen one for sale was $650 on gun broker and it showed some ware. Most used ones are around $750-$850. More if they have action work or are shortstroked.
Parson John Tourmann, #67768 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Check yer local clubs, got a used-not abused 66 rifle 44-4o from a member for $600 this summer. Needed sights-that was all. Parson
Come On Christmas Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I bot mines fer $600 used with a Marbles sight some time back. Shameless
Cowboy Junky Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I'm selling my wife's 66 18" short rifle in 38 for $975. It has a cody action job and all the extra bells & whistles....completely match ready. I have a buyer that "says" he gonna' get it but the money is dragging a bit......if you are interested shoot me a PM and he doesn't get I'll let you know.
Llama Ron Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 well, I needs me a 45 Colt!! Thanks, Though!
Three Foot Johnson Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I bought an *as new* Stoeger branded 20" .45 1866 off the used rack at a local gun shop for $575 in August 2008, but that was an exceptionally good deal for whatever reason.
