Jefro, SASS#69420
Hodgdon PDF Manual, Cowboy Action Data starts on page 30. I use the same amount of Red Dot for 105-125-158, as the Max load for Titegroup with a 90gr bullet. You may need to get some folks to PM you thier loads. Conejo Kid #51342
Rusty, Sent you a PM. Do yourself a favor and don't go below minimum book loads -- whatever powder you decide to use. Conejo
rustyfinger 22618
Oh yeah, that would be a half a grain of pixy powder! And a mag primer. Thanks every one for the info. Rusty
Gold Canyon Kid #43974
I have found that shooting with Bullseye, I use the same powder charge for 105 g TC, 147 g TC, as well as 125, 130 and 130 g truncated ojive bullets. All load out to almost the same 1.45 inch OAL, with the crimp grove the same dimension from the end of the bullet. All these loads chrony out to within about + or - 50 fps around 750 fps. It would appear the the smaller brass volume in the 38 spls with the longer bullets creates more pressure in my 38s and pushes the heavier bullets at about the same velocity out the barrel. All these loads are on the lower to mid portion of the pressure range for 38 specials.
