According to the article he was with Weissmuller til the 60's and then was in a sanctuary since. I remember my Mom telling us about working with Johnny Weissmuller before he became a star. They both worked as life guards at Sutros Baths in San Francisco. Sutros baths was part of the Cliff House and it had 3 pools of sea water of which one was "HOT" and one was plain ocean water salt and all. Interesting web site. Ungawa, Cheetah! Ungawa! LL Actually there was a fire there in '95. I've went to the Chimp farm back in the '70's and have driven by it thousands of times. It was a real nasty place to go......won't give details, but apes in cages with nothing better to do..........you get the picture. The claim of "an orginal Cheetah" has been a claim ever since I can remember.........I'm 52 now. I might add that I've known a few 80 year olds that were close to being apes.
