Paladin Gun For Hire
Wow Joe, How big of a charge was that one?
Subdeacon Joe
Wow Joe, How big of a charge was that one? That was the Christening of Christian. So the owner stoked him with a full service charge of 14,000 grains (2 pounds) of Cannon Grade Goex. It was impressive. Actually, that was the service charge for common shell. For solid shot or case, the charge was 2 1/2 pounds according to the Table of Fire. The builder, Steen Cannon works, says no less than one pound for that gun. Full size Napoleon. Utah Bob #35998
Very cool! No lightning spitting here, but I took THIS ONE on the north end of Lake Michigan in 2004. I think it's Abe Lincoln. Or Bob Fosse.
