We are all very proud of her so my mom didn't think much of it when my she asked for a specific pilot-themed t-shirt for Christmas. This weekend was our family get together and my niece excitedly opened the package from Grandma. My shock turned to laughter when I read the shirt... "Squawk 7700. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Over." I told my mom what the shirt meant and we all had a good laugh, especially my niece who'd pulled one over on her grandma. Then we started debating whether she should wear the shirt to school. Her principal is a retired Air Force pilot who's been very supportive of her flying lessons. Will he laugh or make her change the shirt? I'll be she tries it this week.
