Charlie Harley, #14153 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 My niece got her pilot's license this fall on her 17th birthday. We are all very proud of her so my mom didn't think much of it when my she asked for a specific pilot-themed t-shirt for Christmas. This weekend was our family get together and my niece excitedly opened the package from Grandma. My shock turned to laughter when I read the shirt... "Squawk 7700. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Over." I told my mom what the shirt meant and we all had a good laugh, especially my niece who'd pulled one over on her grandma. Then we started debating whether she should wear the shirt to school. Her principal is a retired Air Force pilot who's been very supportive of her flying lessons. Will he laugh or make her change the shirt? I'll be she tries it this week. Quote

Sweetwater Jack SASS28885L Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 CONGRATS on her new license AND her sense of humor...... If her principal was a Captain or a Major, she's probably OK. We Lt Cols could be real a-holes at times..... (Me included).... Quote
