The Original Lumpy Gritz
Don't think it's made any more. http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?91527-Winchester-571-Powder Good luck as it wouldn't be my choice. Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
It's gonna be real slow for Cowboy shooting. As I recall this Winchester powder was intended for magnum pistol loads, jacketed bullets, etc. Yep, charts show it about in the range of Blue Dot powder. Almost as slow as 2400. Virtually no use for that in CAS. Trade it to someone who loads mag shotgun or mag pistol loads? (This is one reason why it doesn't pay to hold most powders for a long period of time.) Good luck, GJ
Jabez Cowboy,SASS # 50129
Makes a superior Powder for heavy bullet loads in .45 Colt at SAMMI standard presure levels ,,,,, ie; safe in togle-link guns .... And also a great powder for loads for use in the RV. and Blackhawk ,Winnie and Marlin 94s and the 92 ... Loads up to the 33,000 Psi level and they put the .44 Mag. to shame .... I have about 6 pounds left ... It makes great 3 inch 12 gauge loads .... Jabez Cowboy
