"I fine this man, uh, $50 for disturbing the peace and $10 for lying around"

I believe that was Paul Newman in "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean".

"What we got here.....is a failure to communicate!"

Point of Order. I believe you have the quote slightly wrong. It's from Cool Hand Luke (Strother Martin to Paul Newman). But the actual quote is,"What we have here....is failure...to communicate." A lot of folks mistakenly add the "a" in front of failure.

This is one of my favorite quotes... "Major. We already run the misfits outta our country. We sent 'em back to England."

Matthew Quigley! aka "Roy" - YES I AM a lot slower than ever before, please excuse me for answering this one again. My bad. One of my favorites, too.

How about this short exchange-

" you're goin' to kill me now." (revenge seeking bush-wacker )

" Oh, yeah!" (our protagonist anti-hero, who then does so, collapses )

This one is out of print, for those who may recognize it.

The classic line from "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", from a Bandito leader posing unconvincingly as a Federale

Actually a trick question. Blazing Saddles.

The real quote from Sierra Madre is:

Dobbs: "If you're the police where are your badges?"

Gold Hat: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"
