I have a Numbers matching Winchester 1897 E for sale . It is a take down model . It has a 19in barrel and has a large bead on the front. This gun is tight and no wear on the hammer. It throws 2 3/4 shells 3 feet. It is a nice patina and shoots sweet. The wood is very good . It has a new leather Cover on it By John Kline. Originally it was a 30" inch barrel. I had a gunsmith cut down and put a large bead on it for Cowboy shooting . I am no good with a 97 and I have two and dont shoot ether of them. It is a very nice original gun. All numbers match and the gun is vary tight and the wood is very good . It is a model E take down . It is chambered for 2 3/4 shells and throws shell very good .
