Although I have banned the ownership of guns by my dogs... I blieve they got some secretly stashed away.

Them dogs are just quietly bidin' their time....

I suspect some inaccuracy in that story, if not outright lies. At 10 feet from the muzzle, the shot spread would be around 3 inches.

Unless the shot column hit the bow. There could be things that would have caused it to open up some. Or it might have been a grazing shot.

I'm wondering where the dog bought the shotgun.

I suspect he was shot by one of the other hunters accidentally...at a greater distance than reported, and they let the dog take the blame. Wouldn't be the first time it's been told that way.

Many bird dogs do not use sights.

They are pointers.

I'm wondering what happened to the dog. Did they lock him up during the investigation? Does he need a Lawyer? Maybe he needs remedial training....Hunting 101. Just sayin'
