[size="6"]One of the new shopping malls in Richmond Virginia is tracking all of the people who come into the mall with their cell phones on. This is being done so that they know what stores you visited etc. I have not been there and now will not. I believe the mall is the new South Point out on West Broad St. They say that if you do not want to be tracked just turn you phone off.

Some of the new cell phones give it's GPS even when off. You have to remove the battery

With a lot of folks now days that would almost require an amputation. The withdrawals would be traumatic , also.

Makes me wonder , why do they need to be in constant contact with whoever they are talking to or texting??

I find this interesting. The issue is worrying about being tracked in some mall by your cell phone gps.

 

Of some note....Just signing on to the SASS Wire puts a minimum of 13 plus tracking cookies on your computer and adds more as you change pages on the SASS web site. That's what the ad banners service you see above is doing. Not only visual ads but tracking cookies as well.

 

I delete them every time I visit this site.

Most browsers have a setting that will delete all the cookies and clear your cache when you shut down the browser.
