Tex Jones, SASS 2263
Holland & Holland had a floor selling guns in their NY store on 57th St. Saw some very nice doubles both plain and engraved in the $100,000 to $150,000 range. These were on the rack. You could also be measured for one, which was appreciably more expensive. Saw my very first 1876 Winchester in, if I remember correctly, something like .33-82 or some such. That was a consignment gun out of India. Can't remember the price but it was under $1,500. Great place to look and drool but not ob the guns. Too expensive. Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Had one o' them. Sawed the barrel off to make it into a coach gun.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
One of those "IF YOU HAVE TO ASK THE PRICE, YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT" moments?
