Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 He has tried to convince us that he lives in a quiet part of the world. A review of the Cortez, Colorado newspaper says otherwise. http://www.cortezjournal.com/ Looks like a moving place with lots going on.
Marshal Phil DeGrave SASS #55202 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Oooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrr maybe UB has found inner peace and tranqulity in his own little corner of the world. I'm still looking for mine.
Flashpowder Hal Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Why do the Ancients need their own canyons anyway?
Utah Bob #35998 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I would like to point out that I live over 30 miles from Cortez. Just outside the Greater Metropolitan Cahone area... (population a couple hundred...maybe less) And 12 miles southeast of Dove Creek (which has TWO gas stations) Cortez is much too urban for me.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I have been to Cortez. Last time I was there I bought some fresh locally grown beans. They grow so many beans there that I bet tthey have a rootin' tootin' good time.

Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Hey Bob, wasn't too long ago I saw you trundling into the golden arches with your better half, so I know you get to town more than just once a month to shoot If it wearn't for the eateries, motels and oh yeah...Wally World, Cortez would probably shut down too.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 It is that evil highway 491 that runs through Cortez. There in lies your evil problem. Drink more beer. It will not solve the evil problem but you will feel better and it won't matter.

If it weren't for shoots, groceries, and doctor's appointments, I'd be a happy hermit.
