What if I drop my Ted Cash capper on the ground, and when I bend over to pick it up my powder flask falls on top of it, followed by a pouch full of balls? Is this a MDQ?

What if I drop a flint instead of a capper?

Ans what if I'm wearing Levis with a zipper?

Or work boots?

This stuff is really hard to figger out. ;)

Maybe the lonnng winter will help.:unsure::lol:

I feel your pain.

I never read those threads anymore -- and I wouldn't have read this one, except I saw that you were the originator....and I said to myself, "Bob wouldn't start one of those....would he?"

I find them wire threads helpful once in awhile, but geez, some of these guys sure like "lawyering" about the rules. Gonna be a LONG winter. :)

You have to be careful handling your balls and Levis with zippers. There are some definite safety issues involved.

Never said they was my balls.

It depends, were you carrying a SA as your CCW at the time?

It depends on whether or not you are smoking a cigar at the time. A lit cigar may put the first Utah in orbit.

Falling balls IMHO is equipment failure solved by wearing jockeys.

Ignoring the jocularity inherent in this thread, you dropped your caps, your powder and your balls, right? Not a loaded gun, but the ammo for it.

Is dropping ammo a DQ now?

Posted

Dropped ammo is still just "dead", meaning you can't pick it up. No DQ involved.

There's a thread on the Wire where someone came up with a "You make the call" scenario where a shooter has a hiccup with a cap-n-ball revolver and the loaded cylinder falls from the gun. The thread is getting lively, in a way-too-serious way, asking whether it counts as dropped ammo, a dropped gun, a miss, a DQ, or some other scenario.

Folks is gettin' wrapped pretty tight for sure...

Well, the answer is obviously clear. Get another dead horse and beat both of them harder and faster.

One can never beat a dead horse too severely nor too often.

Of course, avoiding dead horses will give you a much better ride and a more harmonious outcome.

As far as your capper, flask, and balls go, well, you are just on your own there.

If you ignore the jocularity, this satirical thread is pointless.:lol::P

But, and there is always a but, you might be able to morph it into another dead horse thread.

There is salvation in everything if you look for it.

Over my dead horse's body!

Over my dead horse's body!

Around here, leaving a dead horse at the loading table results in a match DQ and a Spirit of the Game Penalty. Since yore already DQ'd, the SOG penalty is assessed by taking away yore tie tack AND yore secret decoder ring....
