Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438
I happened on a 1897 Winchester yesterday; uncut barrel; no obvious external changes; no buggered screws; wood looks original, with no cracks, and very close fit of stock with receiver. Clean and shiney bore. What else should I be looking at in making a purchasing decision? I don't see many, and have never shot one. Much obliged.
