Subdeacon Joe Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I bet the gentleman was one heck of a teacher for his troops.
Jeremiah Sullivan Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I bet the gentleman was one heck of a teacher for his troops. True. Most if not all are retired W.O.s with great experience and of course quite a sense of humor and patter. We were fortunate to obtain tickets to the Ceremony of the Keys one evening while stationed in London many years ago. Quite the treat, too. Not too long ago the first female Yeoman Warder was enrolled in the corps. Whether just for the tour in daylight or one of the evening ceremonies, you can't go wrong if you visit the Tower.
Chickahominy Charlie Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Although I've traveled Europe years ago, I never made it to London. It was meeting folks like this along the way that made my travels so enjoyable. Thanks for posting that! Nobody but the British can do the tongue-in-cheek or unbelievable understatement like that. Utah Bob #35998 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Visited the Tower in '69. Saw the Crown Jewels. Watched the Horse Guards on parade and all that touristy stuff. Good time.
