Whiskey Business - Her Mother Passed This Evening

Recommended Posts

"May the road rise up to meet you

May the wind always be at your back

May the rain fall soft upon your fields

May the Sun always shine warm upon your face

And until we meet again, may GOD hold you in the palm of his hand"

Whiskeys mom, my mother-in-law, Grace passed away this evening after having suffered a severe stroke several days ago. Please say a prayer for Whiskey, her mother and her family during this difficult time. Grace will be greatly missed.

Bucky

Bucky, I just got on line. Lord, have mercy, this is really bad news.

I know everyone here feels the loss as will.

Heavenly Father,

Hear the prayer of you're servent. You have called Grace home, to beatify heaven even more.

To be with you is to be absent in the flesh, and so Whiskey's and Bucky's and all Grace's grandchildern shed tears of deep pain.

We know that death is a part of life and we must all face it at some time. Our time is short on this, you're earth.

I asked you, Oh Great Father, to comfort Whiskey and Bucky and the family. Wrap you're loving and comforting hand around them.

You made the heavens, you made Mother Earth, and yet you remembered to make a little speck like me ! How Great you are !

Bring Peace and comfort to Whiskey and Bucky, I ask this in you're holy name........

AMEN

What a great bunch of friends! Your kind words and sentiments were of great value during this sad time. It's been a hectic few days but Whiskey and I read the posts nightly and believe me, your kindness was well recieved and a comfort.

Best Regards,

I entered this world, thanks to her love

And her joy and sacrifice too.

To make sure I was happy, protected, and strong

There was nothing that she wouldn’t do.

Through the years she always sustained me

Whenever the times seemed most bleak.

Her counsel and laughter chased dark times away

As I climbed each of life’s rugged peaks

Whenever we argued I felt so ashamed

As the anger and harsh words abated

And I hoped she’d still love me and she always did

As those old petty conflicts abated

I remember each Holiday filled with her smile.

The warmth filled our home like the sun.

Anytime that I failed she would hold me so close

That I’d feel as if I had just won.

Now my heart weeps with sorrow that crushes my soul

As I gaze at the heavens above.

But I’ll think of the best times throughout all the years.

I’m so glad I was blessed with her love.

I Love the Poem too, Bob.

Whiskey, I was sent this Poem after my Ma' passed away, that was the 15th of August.

I want to pass it along to You too, with Love & Prayer.

' Loss of Mother Poem '

Now that I am gone,

remember me with smiles and laughter.

And if you need to cry,

cry with your brother or sister

who walks in grief beside you.

And when you need me,

put your arms around anyone

and give them what you need to give me.

There are so many who need so much.

I want to leave you something --

something much better than words and sounds.

Look for me in the people I've known

or helped in some special way.

Let me live in your heart

as well as in your mind.

You can love me most

by letting your love reach out to our loved ones,

by embracing them and living in their love,

Love does not die, people do.

So, when all that's left of me is love,

give me away as best you can.

Utahs.. I love that, it is beautiful. I never knew my mother, but I am sure she was the best soul on the planet!
