Matthew Duncan
2 day local match 1st day 6th stage. Shooter at the loading table, second in line for shooting the stage Shooter drops a loaded pistol into his right holster Shooter drops a loaded pistol and misses the left holster. Pistol lands on the ground Posse Leader gives the Shooter a MDQ. I was the Shooter. And I was the Posse Leader too. I hate it when I do that! Grizzly Dave
Ouch. I'd say that posse leader needs to buy that shooter a drink tonight, and visa versa. Bummer. Grizz

Anvil Al #59168
That's to bad. But ya did it right on the call. But. Atleast that frees you up to run the timer the rest of the match. You can take it easy and relax. Have a extra drink tonight. I did that at EOT after shooting a 19 second clean stage. Pistols last. Stage over. They are reading the time. All I got to do is reholster, an make my way to the unloading table. Relaxed and missed the holster. Talk about feeling REAL stuiped. Asleast mine was shot dry and just a SDQ. Lazy Ace Bob, #38620
Did the same thing on side match day at a regional recently. Never dropped a loaded or unloaded gun in 13 years of shooting this game. Just got careless and was not paying attention. I Just unloaded my guns and called it a day. Good thing it didn't carry forward for the match but I'll never holster without looking again.
Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217
Hi again Matthew, One thing I like about the rule that led to this call is that there is no subjectivity in it. You drop a loaded gun, you get a MDQ. I wish all of our rules were so clear. So sorry this happened to you Matthew. However, I must say you are in good company. I'd name names; but, well you know...
