Caught part of it last night where Dad buys a BAR for 10K and 10 ounces of silver. Must be a LEO/dealer sample only or he got the deal of the decade on a class III piece of history.

Sex sells guns... And Utahs if that was your place you could rent a mom and daughter to dress like that and sell guns.. lol... Just kidding..

Do a google on the show and the family, you aren't too far from what I have seen reported...

Second episode. Lost interest already. Wake me up when the come up with a good story line.

Fast draw gun my behind. I wonder what does a custom pistol from scratch for $10G can do better than a well tuned up Ruger.

that is what I was thinking Texas, they could have taken any SAA and tuned it up for quick draw.

The owner also treat his gunsmiths like morons that can't do anything with out his help

IP,

I like the part where Rick asked the guy what is that. It is a BAR. My question should be if it has been modified or is it the real deal.

The mom probably looked better before the botox, lip injections and silicone. I don't let my 17 year old daughter dress that way either.

I never let my daughter dress like that when she was that young ether

There was more BS on that show than on the SASS Wire....Well almost...:lol:

So are you saying I should be glad I don't have a TV?

the mom has some nice .38's and seems to be quite proud of them, the daughter is smokin hot I can't remember much of the rest

Well I have to say that 2 weeks ago when I was shooting with Fort Hayes Preacher he did not mention his new gun. I will have to ask him and see what he has to say.

Are you sure they're .38's and not .41 mags.? Of course, like the saying goes, "If you've got it, flaunt it." And I guess she does.

Sort of. A lot of what's on including this show is crap (saw enough online), but there's some other stuff worth viewing on DVD that makes one worthwhile.

Nope. I never cared for them, even when I was bedridden after my last surgery. Give me music and a good book or the interwebs to roam around on. The only thing I really miss is seeing a movie. Uno has a nice large computer monitor so we can watch movies in his office, if we're so inclined.

It sounds like a lot of drama and non-realistic reality for those who don't get enough of it in their own lives. I can do without it. Thanks for the warnings.

Well he!!. I've missed all of the dang show already and now ya'll tell me it's crap.

One man's crap is another mans treasure. It's not great IMO, but it does feature guns so I'll watch it on the DVR where I can forward thru the crap if I want to. And if I miss an episode there's no great loss.

If she had not had all the modifications, they would probably be 44 Longs.

The show is L A M E

When the bimbo daughter trotted out dressed like Daisy Duke at the start of the show, I almost turned the danged thing off. Should have.

For $15,000, I'll buy enough Rugers to have main match guns (and spares) to last a lifetime for me and several of my good friends.

Watched both episodes. The Dad seems like he has a bit of an attitude, and think's he is a High Roller when buying the BAR: "Here's $10,000 and because it's windy...I'll include this 10 oz silver bar to weigh it down". Someone needs to tell him to pound sand.

The $10,000 "Special" on the built-from-scratch Single Action Army (regularly $15,000) was the big turn-off for me. For $2500 you can get the same gun, except it's a Colt. Perhaps his shop really needs to be on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, where he can cater to the High Dollar Gucci Cowboy types. ^_^

T.H., I agree with you 100% on the dad. I personally think he's made himself look like a total tool. He's abusive to his employees, arrogant with people from whom he wishes to purchase firearms and generally lacking in any worthwhile interpersonal skills. If he gave me the, "You got 10 seconds..." line which he gave the BAR owner, I'd have told him that I need just one second to tell him to take a flying leap off of my land.

He's trying to come across as a savvy businessman who's a big player. If you saw his old website (prior to the first episode airing), you would have seen that all of the photos were of him posing with well-known people (Charlton Heston, George W. Bush, Ted Nugent, etc). There weren't any good photos of his store to entice potential customers to come in and browse for their next purchase. And lucky him....business is so good that he doesn't even show up at the largest gun shows in town.

In the end, I bet he's lost more potential business than he's earned with his performance. If I were him, I'd be begging Discovery to take the remainder of the episodes out of the schedule for fear they would only hasten the path to bankruptcy.

Cheers,

Butcher B.
