H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
On the use market, I have seen Colt Sherrif's model revolvers with 2-1/2, 3, 4, 5-1/2 and 7-1/2 inch barrels. Every new Sherrif's model I have seen seems to have a 3" bbl. Knowing that what makes a Sherrif's model be on is the lack of an extractor, I have to wonder, will Colt still make a Sherrif's model to order with a longer barrel, or will they only make 'em as snubbies these days? Getting one would be a far less expensive way for me to get a new Colt without going to the added expense of factory engraving.
German Jim
You might want to check with Sixgun Shorty. He could probably give you an answer.

The Custom Shop will do 3" and 4" Sheriffs or Storekeepers Models. without ejector Basically though, I can order them with about any barrel length, but you will pay handsomely for it and it wil take several months to have them built
