Other than stuffing the munitions into the back rather than the front, there really hasn't been a lot of change in artillery drill over the centuries. Aiming? what the heck is aiming any more. Now just push the "Lay" button until the tube stops moving, verify the deflection and elevation on the computer screen match and ..... Standby.......Fire! It brought back some fond memories. You could see the base plate settle in on the first round and after that, it did not move at all. Just as I recall.
